About Us  |  Our Fleet   |  Cruis Offers   |  Official Website

“We invite you to join us on a voyage of discovery to parts of our planet that remain accessible only to a select band of travellers, an enterprising few who prefer their journey to be one of discovery and enrichment. And now, your journey to regions remote can be made in all the comfort you have come to expect from life.”  Sarina Bratton, Managing Director

Orion Expedition Cruises will take you on a path less travelled through its luxurious purpose-built expeditionary vessel. Orion is large enough to offer onboard luxuries, yet small enough to access remote destinations that have previously been inaccessible. The comforts of a luxurious floating resort are combined with excursions to unspoilt nature reserves, pristine beaches, tropical reefs and historical towns.

Orion’s year-round itineraries include the rugged coast of the Kimberley beyond – to the beautiful and intriguing untapped destinations Papua New Guinea and Melanesia. New for 2009 is the he coastline and islands of Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Travellers with an adventurous spirit should experience the Antarctic Continent, which offers the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful and isolated parts of the world. The world-heritage listed Sub-Antarctic Islands offer extraordinary wildlife combined with spectacular scenary.

The vessel itself is sleek - modern and comfortable, practical and luxurious, from its expert guides to the chilled champagne onboard.  Just over 100 guests can choose from staterooms and suites, all with ocean views, TV/DVD, sitting areas and marble en-suite bathrooms. Dining is in the elegant Constellation Restaurant or on the open deck nearby, while a panoramic observation lounge has a wrap-around deck. Facilities include a spa with sauna and whirlpool, and when you want to go ashore, ten heavy-duty Zodiacs will whisk guests away to experience an array of Shoreside Expeditions. Its onboard luxuries beautifully complement the pristine outdoor panorama, allowing you to experience spectacular parts of Australia and beyond in style.
