CLIA's Cruise360 Program Details Released
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has revealed more details of Cruise360 2018.
Responding to feedback from CLIA travel agent members for more social media training, CLIA Australasia and Asia Managing Director Joel Katz has revealed that this year’s conference will include a Social Media workshop by Jordana Borensztajn, a social media strategist, presentation skills coach and author of business-marketing book ‘Capture My Attention: How to Stand Out Online with Creative Content’.
During this interactive session, Jordana will take delegates through the changing media landscape and help them understand how to use relevant social networking platforms to grow their business and drive sales
In addition, panels of industry experts will host four breakout sessions including:
- Generation Cruise – helping agents understand the changing demographic of cruise passengers, and what cruise lines are doing to appeal to these passengers
- Reputation Management – providing practical advice on how to tackle customer concerns and address some cruise myths
- Does Size Matter – focussing on the growth of the small ship sector and the opportunities for cruise agents
- How to Make the Most of Your Partnership with the Cruise Lines – maximise the relationship between agents and cruise lines to help grow cruise sales
Keynote speakers already confirmed include CLIA President and CEO Cindy D’Aoust, who will update delegates on the state of the global industry and the cruise industry’s sustainability initiative, while Norwegian Cruise Line President and CEO Andy Stuart, will address the conference on cruising as an innovative industry.
Mr Katz said the association had put this year’s program together with member feedback in mind.
“We have tailored this year’s Cruise360 program to meet the needs of modern cruise-focused travel professionals and look forward to engaging in robust discussions during our breakout sessions and being inspired by the keynote speakers who will no doubt have a lot of wisdom and knowledge to share with delegates. Cruise360 2018 is a not-to-be-missed event,” Mr Katz said.
More than 500 delegates are expected to attend the fifth regional conference, which will take place on Friday August 31, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney. Delegates can also take advantage of an optional ship inspection of Carnival Spirit and new for 2018, a bonus Cruise Destination Showcase on Thursday August 30.
Earlybird tickets are on sale until June 30 with prices starting from $240 for a CLIA member. Tickets are selling fast, and we expect to once again sell-out. Only limited spaces are left for the Carnival Spirit ship inspection and the Cruise Destination Showcase.
