Nominations open for 22nd Annual CLIA Awards

October 15, 2024 – The countdown to the cruise industry’s biggest night of celebration has begun, with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) today opening nominations for its 22^nd Annual Cruise Industry Awards.

The awards will help recognise the pivotal role Australian and New Zealand travel agents have played in achieving record levels of cruise travel internationally, with 15 categories to be judged.

“Australasia is one of the world’s most prosperous cruise regions, and our travel agent community has played an enormous part in building that success,” said CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz. “Our 22^nd Annual Awards will be a salute to travel agents throughout Australia and New Zealand, as well as honouring the brightest stars from among our CLIA membership.”

The Cruise Industry Awards will be announced on Saturday 8 March 2025 at a gala celebration at Sydney’s Star Event Centre in Pyrmont. Of the 15 award categories, 10 are open to self-nomination or peer-nomination.

The awards are open to all current travel agent members of CLIA in Australia and New Zealand, with nominations closing November 29, 2024. This year’s categories are:

• Cruise Agency of the Year (Single location/brand) – Australia
• Cruise Agency of the Year (Single location/brand) – New Zealand
• Cruise Agency of the Year (Multi location/brand) – Australasia
• Online Agency of the Year – Australasia
• Cruise Consultant of the Year – Australia
• Cruise Consultant of the Year – New Zealand
• Home-Based (Mobile) Agent of the Year – Australia
• Broker of the Year – New Zealand
• Rising Star – Australia
• Rising Star – New Zealand
• Cruise Champion – Australasia
• Agency Cruise Promotion of the Year – Australasia
• Network Cruise Promotion of the Year – Australasia
• Cruise Month Promotion of the Year – Australasia
• Media Award – Australasia
