Australia set for vibrant cruise season this summer

Australia is gearing up for a spectacular summer cruise season, bringing new ships, new cruise lines and more than 1800 port calls in destinations around the country. Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Managing Director Australasia Joel Katz said the 2023-24 season was likely to be one of Australia's busiest, with the number of ships visiting the region set to exceed pre-pandemic levels.

Removal of Covid-era measures in Australia confirmed

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) today welcomed confirmation from NSW Premier Chris Minns that cruise-specific Covid-19 measures have been removed, effective immediately. This follows advice on Friday from Australia's Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly that measures had been removed at the federal level after a decision by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC).
