CLIA explores the outback in new NT course

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has teamed up with Tourism Northern Territory to introduce a new education option for travel agent members, focussed on the untamed expanses of Australia's spectacular Top End. The new Northern Territory course is the latest addition to the CLIA Learning Academy and incorporates spectacular imagery and video to help showcase some of the destination's best experiences for cruise visitors.

Auckland set to break cruise records

Auckland is nearing the end of its most successful cruise season, having welcomed dozens of international ships and millions of dollars in visitor spending over the 2018-19 peak. By the end of April, Auckland will have hosted 39 different cruise ships which will have made 110 visits since the start of the international cruise season in October.This is a 20% increase on the number of visits made during last year's record period.

CLIA LIVE series kicks off this week

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia this week launches its expanded CLIA LIVE travel agent training series, with dozens of CLIA members set to join the first event tomorrow in Perth.The two-day session is one of six scheduled around Australia and New Zealand this year and the first to be held in Western Australia.

Adam Goldstein to address Cruise360

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has confirmed its recently appointed Global Chair Adam Goldstein will be among key speakers at this year's Cruise360 Australasia conference, the industry's peak annual forum for sharing ideas, knowledge and visions for the future. Mr Goldstein, the Vice Chairman of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, will visit Sydney to join a full-day line-up of expert speakers and panel sessions on Friday August 30.
