Select Fresh Providores is an Australian fruit and vegetable wholesaler with distribution centres across the major capitals. It supplies many thousands of tonnes of produce to cruise ships and serves most of the major cruise lines operating in Australia.

Select Fresh Providores works with farmers across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria to plan, grow and supply fresh produce to cruise ships, constantly reviewing regional supply to align with seasonal quality.
Cruise demand benefits not only farmers and producers, but also the wider regional communities, transport workers, forklift drivers and people working on the wharves.
Paul Temuskos
Farmer Paul Temuskos is a grower in Werribee, Victoria, whose produce is a regular feature on cruise ship menus. About 40% of his family's business is generated by cruise line orders, requiring high volumes throughout the year.

Paul plans crops to supply produce in the high volume and consistency needed by cruise lines throughout the year.
Produce is packed in Werribee and transported to a distribution centre in Sydney operated by Select Fresh Providores, where it is consolidated, quality-checked and packed for loading onto cruise ships.
Curringa Farm, Tasmania
Tim and Jane Parsons have a Tasmanian ancestry spanning 200 years and operate a farm and agritourism business near Hamilton, north-west of Hobart, offering farm-stay cottages and farm tours.
The farm spans 750 acres and runs up to 3,000 sheep for meat and wool, as well as growing crops of seeds and pharmaceutical medicine. About 12% of the farm is under conservation, with forest areas providing a home to native wildlife.
“We host about 800 cruise passengers per year to Curringa Farm for traditional Aussie BBQ lunches, sheep shearing demonstrations, dog shows and farm tours.”

Cairns Rainforest Estate
Having spent more than 25 years in cruise tourism, Cairns-based James Coughlan teamed up with business partner and inbound tourism specialist Karin Ohman in 2023 to launch Shorex Australia.
James has since expanded with Cairns Rainforest Estate, a new rainforest tourism business developed with international cruise tourism in mind.
The scenic property is surrounded by World Heritage rainforest and is home to a century-old Queenslander and 600 tropical fruit trees producing tonnes of fresh fruit.

James CoughlanSeveral million dollars have been invested to create a project designed to showcase the produce, rainforest and heritage of the region to the world.
Cairns Rainforest Estate offers a half-day rainforest and orchard experience for cruise guests, allowing them to explore rainforest walking trails and sample seasonal produce from a working estate.
Its fully guided experiences are planned around cruise ship visits and can be linked with other nearby attractions including the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
