South Australia sets course with new CLIA partnership

South Australia will step-up its focus on cruise tourism through a new partnership with CLIA, putting the state on show within a thriving international cruise industry. The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) has joined CLIA as an Executive Partner in Australasia, bringing the state into CLIA's wider community of cruise lines, travel agents, ports, destinations, tourism operators, and industry suppliers.

CLIA Masters program takes cruise specialists to the next level

CLIA has welcomed its first intake of Masters candidates for 2025, taking 60 of the region's top travel agents towards the association's highest qualification. The Masters Program is a six-week course designed to help travel agents stand out as cruise specialists and move into an environment beyond mainstream selling. Participants learn how to pursue new revenue streams, create a unique brand differentiation, and forge a unique position in a competitive retail landscape.

Stuart Allison joins CLIA Hall of Fame

Respected cruise line executive Stuart Allison has been inducted into the industry's Hall of Fame at the 22nd annual Cruise Industry Awards for Australasia, recognising his leadership role in the cruise sector for more than 25 years. In front of hundreds of guests at a gala celebration in Sydney hosted by CLIA on Saturday, Mr Allison was announced as the 19th member of the Hall of Fame by Peter Little, the Chairman of CLIA in Australasia and Senior Vice President and Country Manager for Carnival Corporation.

CroisiEurope joins CLIA's Australasian community

Nine spectacular new ships make their debut in CLIA online showcase

The 2025 Ocean Debut Virtual Showcase will introduce the spectacular new fleet of ships due for launch this year, each offering new opportunities for cruise specialist travel agents and exciting new choices for cruise guests.

Albatros Expeditions partners with CLIA in Australasia
