CLIA has introduced a new Marketing Toolkit for its Australasian members, providing downloadable resources to help travel agents promote cruise holidays and highlight their standing as trusted cruise specialists. Now available in the CLIA Members Hub, the new Members Marketing Toolkit for 2026 has been designed to provide a year-round collection of ready-to-use assets that members can integrate into their own marketing activities.

CLIA Awards finalists revealed after record nominations

CLIA has announced the finalists for its 23rd Cruise Industry Awards for Australasia after a record level of nominations from across the region's travel agent community. A total of 83 finalists have been named from Australia and New Zealand and will be in the running to win one of 15 awards to be announced at a sold-out gala celebration in Sydney on 7 March, 2026.

Cruise tourism delivers A$7.32 billion economic impact for Australia

Continuing demand for cruise holidays has delivered A$7.32 billion in economic benefits to the national economy and supported more than 22,000 Australian jobs during 2024-25, according to an economic impact report commissioned by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and the Australian Cruise Association (ACA). Released today, the annual assessment shows amongst the highest annual economic impact ever seen in Australia, driven by sustained levels of passenger spending in destinations around the country.
