Maritime Leader Bud Darr Appointed CLIA President and CEO

CLIA announced today that its Global Executive Committee has appointed Charles Bud Darr as President and Chief Executive Officer effective February 3, 2025. Darr succeeds Kelly Craighead, who, earlier this year, announced her plans to leave the organisation at year's end.

Australian cruise passenger numbers recover

The number of Australians taking holidays at sea has overtaken pre-pandemic levels, according to new data released today by CLIA. Figures for 2023 show the number of Australians who took an ocean cruise during the calendar year reached 1.25 million, slightly above the 1.24 million who sailed in 2019.
