Visit Qatar supports CLIA Awards as Headline Partner
December 22, 2025 – Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced Visit Qatar will again take the stage as Headline Partner at the 23rd Annual Cruise Industry Awards for Australasia next year.
For the fourth year in a row, Visit Qatar will be the primary supporter of the cruise industry’s biggest annual night of celebration, which will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney for the first time.
To be held on Saturday 7 March, the CLIA Awards are expected to attract an audience of more than 600 people, including CLIA travel agent members, cruise lines, executive partners and industry supporters.
CLIA Director of Membership & Events in Australasia Marita Nosic said the awards had become one of the most spectacular events on the travel industry calendar.
“The CLIA Awards are a fantastic night of celebration and always a sell-out success, but they wouldn’t be possible without the generous backing of our Headline Partner, Visit Qatar,” Ms Nosic said. “We’re delighted to work with Visit Qatar again in 2026 to create a fitting tribute to our travel agent members and to celebrate the success of the international cruise industry.”
Mr Omar Abdulrahman Al-Jaber, Chief of the Tourism Development Sector at Qatar Tourism and Acting Shared Services Executive Director at Visit Qatar, said: “Our continued partnership with CLIA reflects our long-term commitment to the global cruise industry and to working closely with trade partners across key international markets. Supporting the CLIA Awards provides an important platform to recognise the contribution of travel agents and industry stakeholders who play a vital role in the cruise ecosystem. As Qatar continues to strengthen its cruise offering and further develop Doha as a leading homeport in the region, we value opportunities such as this to engage with the industry and support the sector’s sustained growth.”
The event is also supported by Gold, Silver and other sponsors from among CLIA’s cruise line members, as well as by Media Partners Cruise Weekly and Travel Daily.
Tickets to the event have sold out, but CLIA members can email info-aus@cruising.org to join a wait-list.
