Nominations open for 23rd Annual CLIA Awards

CLIA is gearing up for its biggest annual night of celebration, with nominations now open for the 23rd Annual Cruise Industry Awards for Australasia. From now until Friday 21 November 2025, CLIA members will be able to nominate themselves or their peers for the most prestigious awards available to cruise specialist travel agents in Australia and New Zealand. Fourteen award categories will be judged this year, including nine open to peer- or self-nomination.

Cruise Month brings expanded webinar series

CLIA has created its biggest-ever program of Cruise Month webinars, giving travel agent members a chance to learn from dozens of the world's top cruise lines. More than 30 individual webinars will be offered throughout October, each aligned with Cruise Month's four weekly themes - Ocean Cruising (5-11 October), River Cruising (12-18 October), Expedition Cruising (19-25 October) and Luxury Cruising (26 October-1 November).

Australia set to welcome 63 cruise ships over busy summer season

Australia is preparing to welcome dozens of international cruise ships over another busy summer cruise season, delivering billions of dollars in economic contribution to ports and destinations around the country. CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz said a total of 63 ships would operate in local waters between October and April, bringing hundreds of thousands of passengers to every coastal state and territory.
